This project is a return to making sound. the music in CLONE 20
is almost as important a character in the book as I am.
With that i’ve compiled this collection of sounds created in a little time capsule in chicago at the VIRGIN HOTEL.
Compared to previous efforts, BABYLON INDS decided to try a new approach to making new sounds. Usually I begin the making of a project by having extensive pre-production meetings where I decide what the final product will actually sound like, then go into a programming studio. This time I decided to keep all pre-production work to a minimum. I started to have a problem with boredom in that I felt we'd reached a certain level of achievement in doing things a certain way. These 3 tracks are just having fun at home in the hills in LA.
